Brown rose to country stardom through the uniquely Southern phenomenon of beach music, a party-ready mix of old-time
rock & roll, R&B, country, and blues; and old school Kenny Chesney really. In 1986 Brown signed with Capital and released
his first album debut with "I Tell it Like it Use to Be". The album pulled off a #1 for Brown with "Hell or High Water". Browns
quick sucess and subsequent hits are partly contributed to Alabamas' lead singer Randy Owens and Browns' friendship. Most
of Browns' songs on this album were actually recorded at the Alabama Muscle Sholes studios. Brown released his second album
that contained hits such as "Darlene" and "Dont go to Strangers". Unfortunately Brown had an alcohol problem and his career
came to a halt in the early 90s , really at the peak of his music career. Brown did return to the music in 1998 with the acclaimed
comeback effort "Wine into Water", which reaffirmed his roots rock leanings and marked his most personal effort to date. Browns
signature song is definately "Hell or High Water" and is certainly my favorite Brown song. Brown continues working on his
music career and performs at many concerts still today.
