After Garth Brooks , Alan Jackson was the most popular male country singer of the '90s. An heir to the new traditionalist
movement of the '80s, Jacksons' approach was rooted in classic honky tonk yet remained comfortably within the contemporary
and traditional mainstream. I can say Jackson has done many "fun" songs such as "Chatahoochie" but for the most part when
you hear a Jackson song your hearing straigh up country music. Jackson has put out so many songs I dont even know were to
start. His first hit and probably his signature song "Midnight in Montgomery" instantly shot Jackson into the limelight. Many
many great songs followed such as "Gone Country", "Wanted", "Living on Love", "Someday" and "Remember When", "Here in the Real
World" . I can honesty say that Alan has not done a bad song. I can put any of his CDs in and dont mind listening from
first to last. My favorite Jackson song is a toss up between "Midnight in Montgomery" and "Ill Go On Loving You".
