Ronnie really puts me to mind of and old school Alan Jackson because Ronnie did not ever do a bad song! You can
listen to his CD's from first to last track and enjoy everysong. Not only will you enjoy the song you will just HAVE to sing
along. Mabey Im so partial to Milsap from my childhood days of listening to my uncle and his freinds pick the guitars and
sing alot of his stuff. Milsap was born blind from congenital glaucoma, and when he was five began attending the Governor
Moorhead School for the Blind. When he was seven, his instructors noticed his extraordinary musical talents and he began to
study classical music formally. A single year after he began learning the violin, Milsap was declared a virtuoso; he also
mastered piano, guitar and a variety of other stringed instruments, as well as various woodwinds. In 1972 Milsap signed with
RCA Victor and released his first single "I Hate You" which climbed to the top ten in 1973.The following year, he had three
number one hits in a row -- "Pure Love," "Please Don't Tell Me How the Story Ends," and " A Legend in My Time". Milsap is
most recognized by some of his very famous #1s such as "Smokey Mountain Rain", "I Wouldnt Have Missed it for the World", "No
Gettin' Over Me", "Any Day Now", "Pure Love", "Lost in the 50s Tonight","A Women in Love", "Daydreams about Night Things",
and " Turn that Radio on". Milsap unfortuanately retired from performing in the late 90s due to his "commercial appeal" began
to decline. Nevertheless, Milsap brougth great talent to the stage many times over and his songs to will be picked around
the kitchen table for some years to come. His signature song is definately "Smokey Mountain Rain" , my favorite Milsap song
is a toss up of this signature song and "I Wouldnt Have Missed it for the World".
